Strong Finish in 2019 and a Quick Start in 2020.

Dear <<First Name>>

ANRA had its best year ever in 2019, we thank you for your support and are very excited about our quick start for 2020.  There are big projects in the works we will share details when out legal team give us a green light. Meanwhile, here are a few other relevant updates we wanted to share with you all.

ANRA Selected for UK Project. We are pleased to announce ANRA won the United Kingdom’s Future Flight Challenge Phase 1 competition! This project aims to revolutionize the way people, goods and services fly and to position the UK as a world leader in aviation products and markets. It will support UK development of new technologies from freight-carrying drones to urban air vehicles to hybrid-electric regional aircraft. ANRA’s Phase 1 team includes Connected Places Catapult and Cranfield University, bringing together world-class research and technology organizations to help the UK pursue innovative solutions using our traffic management software platform (DroneUSSTM).

Remote ID Proposed Rule. On December 26 the FAA released the proposed 319-page remote ID rule (Notice of Proposed Rulemaking on Remote Identification of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (Part 89)) and per federal rules, will be open for a 60-day public comment period.  The proposed rule is structured around operating rules for UAS operators and design and production rules for manufacturers of UAS operated in the United States. Over the past year, ANRA has been actively working on both broadcast and network based Remote ID capabilities and associated demonstration in the US and internationally and has been a key contributor for defining the ASTM Remote ID standard. We look forward to filing public comments with the agency and to continuing our work with the federal government to continue to integrate commercial drones into the National Airspace System.

FAA UAS Integration Pilot Program (IPP).  ANRA is pleased to have been invited to join the North Carolina FAA IPP team as a new industry member. We are excited to participate in a host of operational concepts, including night operations, flights over people and beyond the pilot's line of sight, package delivery, detect-and-avoid technologies and the reliability and security of data links between pilot and aircraft. Most importantly, ANRA will get to enjoy some delicious North Carolina BBQ in the coming months.

FAA Drone Advisory Committee (DAC). At the October 17, 2019 meeting of the Federal Aviation Administration’s Drone Advisory Committee, the Designated Federal Officer established Task Group #7 (“TG7”) which was made up of members including ANRA Technologies representing organizations that are all apart of the UAS ecosystem and provided their expertise to compile a strong list of prioritization for UTM capabilities. This activity was just wrapped up and the final work product from the group includes this high level report, a definitions document as well as a “road map” that looks at resources requirements and priority levels for both industry and the FAA.

Economic Times Interview: Drone Industry Outlook. A couple of weeks back, the use of weaponised drones by the US to kill an Iranian commander made headlines. In an interview with ET in India, ANRA CEO Amit Ganjoo spoke about the global drone industry and the complex regulatory challenges it faces. Read the edited excerpts from the interview online on Economic Times website.

As always, please reach out to us with your questions, thoughts, comments, feedback, and one of our team members will be glad to engage with you. From all of us at ANRA we wish you and your families a safe and healthy 2020.

 Blue Skies.

Your ANRA Team
