Bill McGinley, President Trump's longest-serving Cabinet secretary, has newly registered as a lobbyist.
McGinley is one of five Vogel Group lobbyists working on defense issues for Vectrus, a government contractor. The group is lobbying Congress on logistics services and budget issues relating to military-base operations, according to a recent disclosure.
McGinley joined the Vogel Group in October, a couple months after leaving his post as Cabinet secretary, the White House's top liaison between the president and his Cabinet. Prior to his time with the Trump administration, McGinley was a partner at Jones Day and at Patton Boggs.
