Researchers find collaborative flood modeling process effective


"Collaborative flood modeling combines the experiences and concerns of residents, landowners, government officials and and business leaders with the knowledge and technological capabilities of academic researchers to foster a shared understanding of flood risk."

An article posted by the National Science Foundation (written by Brian Bell) highlights the FloodRISE project geared towards collaborative flood modeling and its positive impacts, featuring UCI Blum Center Director Richard Matthew and lead researcher Brett Sanders.
