Greetings, Pacific Northwest District Key Clubbers!

Now that registration for the District Convention has closed, we’re entering the final stretch of the year. For those of you who are attending, I hope that you’re excited. We’ve made numerous additions to this year’s convention programming that will make it one to remember.

This update focuses on the Thirst Project. We’re working at maximum capacity to reach our fundraising goal of $60,000. First, be sure to read for more information about Thirst Project merchandise, which was just released! Then, be sure to stick around to see a fundraising spotlight from Moses Lake High School in Division 58.

As always, feel free to reach out to me at governor@pnwkeyclub.org if you have any questions!

The District Project Committee, and all of us on the District Board, are so excited to announce the opening of the PNW Key Club Shop for Thirst Project merchandise!

This year, merchandise offerings include:
  • Hoodies
  • Crewneck Sweatshirts
  • Stickers
  • Bucket Hats
Designs and prices can be found on the PNW Key Club Shop. As always, 100% of the proceeds go toward building water projects in our District’s assigned Mahlalini region of eSwatini.

Purchasing merchandise is a win-win. It’s an easy way to support the PNW's fundraising efforts for the Thirst Project, and wearing it can also provide you with a platform to spread awareness about our cause.

The shop will be open until February 28th and members can pick up their purchases at DCON in March.

We appreciate all your support! Water is a necessity of life that everyone deserves, and this is just one way that we can help to give everyone access to it.

Feel free to utilize the graphic attached for promotional usage. And if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to District Editor Alicen Han or District Project Chair Callia Thornton.

This week’s fundraising spotlight will showcase Moses Lake High School in Division 58, which recently donated $2,500 to the Thirst Project. Moses Lake Key Club worked throughout the year to raise money for Thirst in a variety of settings. A few of their fundraisers included participating in a Thirsty 30 competition and collecting donations at community concerts. The Key Clubbers also donated money that they were given for doing a highway cleanup project. These are all awesome examples of the various ways clubs can raise money throughout the year. Fundraising efforts don’t all have to happen at one time — and you might actually be able to find a few service projects that can be looped back into the Thirst Project.
