The 2020 Roving Indiana Yarn Crawl special edition colorway is out!
And we dyed it!

Roving commissioned local Indiana artist, Susie Gregory, to create a piece this year.  She painted The Kiss, a lovely portrait of a sheep getting a kiss from a little girl.  A little girl who just happens to be wearing a stripey sweater.  Stripes built perfect for a self striping yarn dyer!
2020 Roving Indiana Yarn Crawl Special Edition Colorway:
Wool You Be My Friend?
But we didn't just dye 1 yarn... we dyed 2 versions!
Wool You Be My Friend? Small Stripes
Wool You Be My Friend? Big Stripes
Both versions are dyed on our Light Foot base.
80% Superwash Fine Merino / 20% Nylon
4-ply fingering weight yarn sock yarn
Appx. 100 grams / 450 yards
The Small Stripes version repeats the colorway several times over the course of the skein while the Big Stripes version only repeats the colorway 2 times.
Both yarns are perfect for a wide variety of projects from scarves to shawls, sweaters, and of course... socks.

In fact, if you were to cut the Big Stripes version in half, you would have matching socks with the colorway happening once per sock.  We could see some great Fair Isle socks worked this way.  But why stop at socks?  Hat or mitts in Fair Isle would be incredible!  Don't limit yourself on what you can create!  You're amazing!
Many shops already have finished objects using the yarns.  All of them are wonderful!  Several are combining both versions of the special edition yarns to great success.  Other are using them individually or adding an accent color along with one of the skeins. Take a quick look!  More details about the projects will be available from the shops or on Roving's site: http://www.rovingindiana.com/gallery/
Visit Roving Indiana's website to see which shops are participating and to find details on what else is happening.  Get your passport and be sure to visit us at one of our trunk shows during the crawl!
