Meals and Blessings is kicking off 2020’s events for the Bethesda Group Homes with a Mardi Gras themed luncheon on Sunday, February 9 in the gym.  Meals & Blessings will serve a three-course luncheon as well as provide games and crafts for the Bethesda Group Home residents from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at no charge to the guests, caregivers and volunteers as all items are donated.

Volunteers are needed to help setup, prepare food, serve, play and visit with the guests and also clean-up.  Individuals of all ages are welcomed to volunteer as well as families.  Setup starts at 10:00 a.m. with tear-down starting at 1:15 p.m., wrapping up 2:00 p.m.  To participate financially, checks, cash or gift cards (VISA or Smart & Final) or give gifts in-kind (food, craft projects, etc.) please contact Joni Terens at joni@abt-tax.com or call 949-212-1378.
 

All Abiding Savior church, school, and preschool women and friends, please join us this coming Monday, February 10 at 6:00 p.m. for a fun night of fellowship!  Have you ever been to a restaurant or a dinner party that had beautifully decorated tables with folded napkins that you admired?  Come and join us for some fun and learn how to create these napkin masterpieces.  Please bring an appetizer or dessert and we will provide the napkins.

 

Our theme this year is "Fix Your Eyes On Jesus.”  During Lent we will use the metaphor of eyesight to examine how the various people in Mark’s Gospel viewed Jesus during His Passion.  We have these forty days of Lent in which we may look within ourselves as people of faith in our day.
