Deadline: February 14
Apply for the Child Welfare Workforce Analytics Institute

The application deadline for our Child Welfare Workforce Analytics Institute (The Institute) is February 14, 2020. The goal of The Institute is to build and strengthen partnerships between child welfare and human resources professionals and discuss how to leverage data necessary to examine and address child welfare workforce challenges. We are seeking 5 to 8 public and tribal child welfare agencies to participate.

Selected agency teams will be assigned a QIC-WD representative to provide coaching and individualized support to improve an aspect of their workforce data analytics capacity and practice. Teams are expected to attend multiple webinars and an (all-expenses-paid) 2-day workshop in Washington, D.C. on August 25–26, 2020.

What is an Umbrella Summary?

The QIC-WD is pleased to announce the launch of a new series that highlights findings from the workforce literature to address key child welfare workforce challenges.

An umbrella summary is a synopsis of the published meta-analyses of a specific workforce topic. Meta-analyses are studies that synthesize results across many individual studies to arrive at overall conclusions. The QIC-WD is reviewing the research and summarizing it in a straight-forward question-and-answer format for child welfare professionals. We plan to release more than 50 umbrella summaries over the next 12-24 months on topics such as burnout, grit, turnover, and emotional intelligence.
