Dear Parishioner,

Please join us this Sunday for a special luncheon sponsored by AHEPA Chapter 311 as we celebrate our youth's participation in the St. John Chrysostom Oratorical Festival as well as pay honor to the memory of Jonathan H. Dolan.

For those who knew Jonathan, you knew an individual who had an extreme yearning to learn as much about his faith as possible. His passion and dedication to Orthodox Education took him to the finals of multiple Oratorical Festivals and was the foundation for many friendships that he cherished. To truly grasp what Orthodoxy meant to Jonathan, we invite you to read a speech he wrote and delivered at the opening ceremonies of Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church in Austin, Texas. He was a true believer and a proud servant of his faith. May his memory be eternal.

The Jonathan H. Dolan Memorial Fund was established as a means of honoring Jonathan's commitment to continued education in Orthodoxy. With these funds, St. Sophia is able to invest in educational resources for our youth so that they too can experience the comfort and strength that Orthodoxy can bring to a young person, just as it did for Jonathan. All proceeds from the luncheon will go to this fund. If you are unable to attend the luncheon but would still like to make a donation, you can do so online using the button below. Thank you for your support of this important ministry.
