UMA WEEKLY UPDATE

Dear UMA Families,

And they’re off! Second semester truly feels like a race where we are out of the gates. Students are now into the second week of their second semester classes and it is hard to believe the 2019-2020 school year is now slightly past the halfway point (Spring conferences are only three weeks away!) Thank you to all of the students, families, staff members and community members who continue to work on growing UMA.

Please be aware of these upcoming events:

February 27: Conferences @UMA 1:30-5:30 pm, 6:15-8:30 pm (Teachers are on dinner break 5:30 -6:15 pm)

February 28: Conferences @UMA 8:30 am-12:30 pm

INTENT TO RETURN TO UMA

We would appreciate UMA families taking a few minutes to complete the Intent to Return form by March 1, 2020 so we have an indication of how many students will be returning at each grade level next year. The online form is available on the school's website and can be found here as well.

The Gala Committee is working hard on a festive event that will support students and the school. The Gala's silent auction is always popular, with many interesting food, art, adventure and experience items available to bid on. Do you know of or have a connection with a business that would donate an auction item? If so, the Gala Committee would like to hear from you. Send an email to UMA parent Deb Paulsrud with the details.

Job Openings at UMA
UMA is accepting applications for special education paraprofessionals and on-call licensed substitute teachers. The paraprofessional position is flexible for part-time or full-time hours with benefits. This is a good opportunity to work on a school schedule and have summers off. Spread the word among friends and family members that might be interested. The school's website has complete job descriptions and application instructions.
