UCUR 2020

This is what you need to know about this year's conference.  Please be sure to read this email carefully!

Oral Presentations:
You are allotted 10 minutes for your presentation; this includes 8 minutes of presentation, and 2 minutes of discussion.  

Presentation slides are not required, but if you choose to use them, they must adhere to the conference guidelines.  In addition, your slides must be submitted in advance by Tuesday, February 4, by 11:59pm.

Poster Presentations:
When creating your poster, please consult the conference guidelines: 
You can use the templates provided by USU; however, if you wish to have OUR print your poster, free of charge, be sure to size your poster no larger than 42” width x 36” height.  We also have a template available.

Be sure to include these elements on your poster:
Presentation Title, Student Name, School, Department, Research Advisor Name.


Free Poster Printing:  We offer poster printing until January 31, 2020.  Please send your PDF poster, sized 42” width x 36” height, by email to our@weber.edu (subject line:  “UCUR Poster”). 

Please pick up your poster by February 5th, WE WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR GETTING YOUR POSTER TO UCUR.
WSU Poster Printing
Transportation:
Bus: The Office of Undergraduate Research has reserved a bus for transportation to Utah State.  We will be leaving at 7:45 am on Friday, February 7 and returning after the conference concludes at 3:30 pm. 

*To reserve your spot on the bus, email our@weber.edu as soon as possible!!

We will meet in the Dee Event Center Parking lot, the NE corner. This is the parking off Country Drive road. The bus leaves at 7:45 am sharp - don’t be late because we won’t wait!

Parking at WSU, for those riding the bus, will be free for those participating in UCUR, but you must notify OUR by January 31 if you do not already have a WSU parking pass so we can arrange for a temporary one.  *Vehicles without permits will be ticketed!

Personal Transportation: You may travel to Utah State University in your personal vehicle.  If you choose to drive, OUR will not offer any reimbursement and will not cover parking fees at the conference.  Visitor parking on campus costs approximately $2 per hour, or a day pass can be purchased for $7.  

The conference will be held in the Taggart Student Center (TSC) & Eccles Conference Center (ECC).
