About the Show:
With winter in full swing, we’re warming up the Gallery with a hot All Gallery Artists Show, which includes new work from fiber artists Jacki Moseley and Amy Nguyen; furniture/wood artists Paul Flessner, Makoto Imai, Warren Pollock, and Carl Yurdin. We are taking the opportunity to introduce painter Corinne Carbone (Bainbridge Island) and fiber artist Linda St. Angelo (Seattle), artists newly located to the Northwest, as well as woodworker Greg Robinson (Bellingham).
Featured studio furniture includes hand crafted hall tables and designer turned bowls. Fiber art includes Joomchi paper wall art, Nuno felted wall sculptures and rarely available wearable art jackets from nationally acclaimed shibori artist Amy Nguyen. Paintings featured are whimsical abstract animal portraits. As Bainbridge painter Corinne Carbone notes: Being an abstract artist, it is about the story I want to tell through my images. Be it landscape, people or animals. I always strive for a reaction, nothing too obvious but maybe subtle and hopefully relatable.
Reception, First Friday, February 7th, 6-8pm, with Awkward Grace in concert.
