2020 GOLF SEASON KICKS OFF SOON!!

With the mild weather in the Treasure Valley, both Warm Springs and Quail Hollow Golf Courses have been open most of the winter. Winter rates will remain in effect through the end of February; starting on March 1, regular season rates will go into effect. We are looking forward to a great 2020 golf season!
IGA RENEWALS
Now is the time to renew or join the IGA and save! Until February 29, 2020, the online registration price is $65. To receive the early registration discount, players must apply the promo code IGA2020 at checkout. This discount is only available through the IGA online registration, our Pro-Shops can not honor the discounted rate.

Reminder: Idaho is currently in an "inactive season"; posting scores for Idaho play is from March 1 through November 14. Scores posted in a state in "active season" can post those scores once your 2020 membership has been processed.

Twilight leagues are a great way to commit to playing 9 holes of golf each week and meeting other people who love to golf. Are you interested in playing in a league? We have several league options that start in April; remember that you must be a member of the association to play in the league.

JIM WALLACE, WARM SPRINGS SUPERINTENDENT, IS RETIRING!
After 20 years with Warm Springs Golf Course, Jim Wallace is retiring at the end of February. Jim started at Warm Springs as the Assistant Course Superintendent, then was promoted to the Course Superintendent in 2010 when Lee Monroe retired. Jim has great relationships with the golfers at Warm Springs, and really loves the sense of community at the course.
When Jim started as the Assistant Superintendent, he was focused on the irrigation system to ensure that the system was running appropriately. The irrigation system is a great quality system that has transformed the course since the City of Boise has run Warm Springs. Once Jim became the Course Superintendent, he has focused on getting all close-mowed areas in great shape to improve the playing conditions of the course. Jim has had a great crew on his maintenance team, and anticipates that the course will be well cared for into the future.
Jim and his wife Sue are looking forward to traveling, camping and enjoying the outdoors. Jim also expects to golf every day that he can. The Warm Springs Men’s and Ladies Association gave Jim a new driver in recognition of his upcoming retirement. Jim wants to thank both associations for this generous gift, and says he is hitting the new driver straighter and 30 yards farther than his previous driver. We will see if Jim ends up playing with the first group out every day, or if he will play with The Crew. Who knows, maybe he will play with both groups on some days. Whatever he does, we wish Jim a Happy Retirement and thank him for keeping Warm Springs in such great shape during his tenure at the course!
