Congratulations, Ryan!

Congratulations to Ryan Dunk, who skated two beautiful programs at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships and finished 11th in his first year as a Senior man. We are so proud of Ryan and all that he has accomplished so far, and we are looking forward to many more years of cheering him on!

Congratulations, Kimmie!

Nationals was also a milestone event for BFSC coach and honorary member Kimmie Meissner. Kimmie was inducted into the U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Fame on Saturday, January 25. A 2006 Olympian, 2006 World Champion and 2007 National and Four Continents Champion, Kimmie has always been and continues to be an inspiring role model for skaters at all ages and levels. We are so proud of her for all she has achieved, both on and off the ice!

Test Session
Our test session this coming Friday, February 21, is full. Our next test session will be Friday, April 24, 8 AM - noon, at Mt. Pleasant. We can offer all levels of MIF, FS and Dance. Applications are available on our website: https://baltimorefigureskatingclub.com/?page_id=31

Questions about the test session can be sent to info@baltimorefigureskatingclub.com

Club Ice Reminders
Spring club ice begins Sunday, March 1, at Mt. Pleasant and Tuesday, March 3, at Ice World. Lock-in forms are available at https://baltimorefigureskatingclub.com/?page_id=845

Our Low FS sessions at 5:10 on Wednesdays (Ice World) and Thursdays (Mt. Pleasant) are for skaters at Basic 4 through Preliminary/Adult Bronze FS and/or Juvenile MIF (highest tests passed). There are no exceptions to this policy.

Skaters MUST check in at the club table, and pay walk-on fees if applicable, BEFORE getting on the ice. All skaters should review the club ice rules (https://baltimorefigureskatingclub.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/BFSC-Ice-Rules.pdf) and be aware of other skaters. All conversations should be moved to the boards or off the ice. Do not block jump corners and remember to yield to skaters in lesson or program run-through.

Power Class - Wednesday, April 1
On Wednesday, April 1, we will have a 50-minute power class at 5:10 instead of our usual Low FS session. The class is $20 and open to all levels.

Registration for the Basic Skills and Beyond events will be through Entryeeze. Watch your email for the registration link soon.

We need volunteers for setup (prior to the competition dates), hospitality, ice monitoring, running, awards and breakdown. We will be posting more information about the schedule and sign-up as the date draws closer. We will again be offering a membership credit (up to $100) for 8 hours of volunteering (per family).
