Video: Wonder and Creativity
A recap of the recent Carl Schmitt Foundation event.

Dear <<First Name>>,

Thank you to everyone who came out to our event last week, "The Universal Call to Artstic Creativity". It was a wonderful evening at the Trinity House Café in historic downtown Leesburg, Virginia. After exploring our beautiful venue, our attendees settled in for a discussion on creativity.

The discussion was far reaching. We began with a reading from the Book of Genesis and explored writings from great thinkers such as Étienne Gilson on artistic creation, Josef Pieper on art and contemplation, Dietrich Von Hildebrand on reverence, Pope John Paul II on artistic vocation and finally from Carl Schmitt on ritual and the creative process. Additionally, we had the opportunity to reflect on Schmitt's life, one fully dedicated to artistic creativity.

For those who couldn't make it, find a short clip below from my presentation:

Our audience included working artists, CSF "regulars", a group of students from Christendom College and curious cafe visitors! It was an engaging conversation with a lively group that lasted late into the evening.  In the coming weeks, I will be sharing more short clips from the event.

Additionally, I will be sharing our exciting events for Spring 2020 very soon.

Be in touch,

Andrew
