Dear supporters,
We know you're a friend of the Mary Riley Styles Public Library and we thank you for that. This week is an important time for the library. The crucial vote on the renovation and expansion project will take place at the Falls Church City Council meeting on Monday, February 10. The funding authorization passed on the first reading by a vote of 4-3 but the opponents are mobilizing. We need your help.
Please do one or more of the following:
- Show up at the Council meeting to demonstrate your support (7:30 pm, February 10 at City Hall)
- Write to the Council expressing your support (e-mail to cityclerk@fallschurchva.gov)
- Tell your friends to do the same -- forward this email, voice your support on social media, use Facebook, word of mouth, and your local listservs.
- If you're a reader of the Falls Church News-Press, please vote in this week's online poll on library renovation at fcnp.com (right side of homepage) and read Chet DeLong's op-ed, available online now or in print this Thursday.
