Sale of medals before the skiftesgasque

Illustrious F section!

It is soon time for one of the most lavish events of the year, the skiftesgasque! This is an event dedicated to our loyal stewards, which are rewarded with medals, as well as newly appointed officials. Prior to the arrangement the Medaljkommitté will sell medals and ribbons. We are also happy to oblige if anyone would like to discuss style, manners and the future of the white tie. You will find us outside of Alumnirummet during lunch Thursday the 6th and Tuesday the 11th.

If you have previously received a medal for your service it is highly recommended to turn this in in exchange for a higher grade. Also, please note that you are worthy of a medal if you have been nyckelpiga during a quarter or have completed a post that lasts for a semester.

Yours faithfully,

The Medaljkommitté

Truth of the Week

This weekend the guild’s new and old heads of committés and board members have been at the guild’s management shifting in the woods outside of Höör. The weekend has been full of seminar sessions and nice company. The best part for myself was when we lit a campfire by a shelter during Saturday evening. I’m rarely as calm as when I’m sitting by a campfire in the dark forest. Which reminded me that I should get away from Lund more often since forests are a rare thing in this area. I easily forget how free we as students really are with our time and we should use this freedom more. So why not rent a cabin in the woods for a weekend with your buddies or perhaps visit a national park for a day. I’m sure going to try to do that more this spring!
