AUSTRALIAN CRICKET INFRASTRUCTURE FUND (VICTORIA)
Cricket Australia, Cricket Victoria and the Australian Cricketers Association have launched the Australian Cricket Infrastructure Fund (ACIF) in Victoria.
I encourage all clubs to apply for funding for minor and major grants of up to $30,000 to assist with their grounds, pavilion upgrades and practice nets.
The $13.5 million Community Cricket Program is a state-wide competitive Victorian Government investment program that provides a range of grant opportunities across two funding streams.
Community Cricket Facilities (closes 13 March 2020)
Metropolitan Cricket and Community Centres (EOI closes 31 May 2020)
The 2019-20 funding will see $6 million made available to clubs and councils to develop or redevelop local cricket infrastructure, from training nets through to accessible change rooms.
A further $7.5 million will be made available to develop up to six Metropolitan Cricket and Community Centres, which will provide facilities for administration and skill development, and house local clubs.
THE WOMEN'S T20 INTERNATIONAL CRICKET WORLD CUP FINAL AT THE MCG
The Final of the Women's T20 World Cup presents a ground-breaking opportunity for Victoria to set a world record for attendance at a women's sporting event of 90,186.
This is a wonderful opportunity for you and your local clubs to get behind this momentous occasion and show the world how much Victorians love and support women’s sport.
Melbourne will host the final at the MCG on International Women’s Day – 8 March 2020.
The Andrews Labor Government's Sporting Club Grants Program is giving Wyndham clubs the support they need to grow their ranks and help more locals play the sport they love.
I encourage all grassroots sports clubs across Wyndham to apply for funding to upgrade equipment, buy new uniforms, boost administration capabilities and improve training for officials.
The Sporting Club Grants Program provides up to:
$5000 for training for coaches, officials and volunteers
$5000 to improve operational effectiveness
$2000 to address barriers that Indigenous athletes face in terms of participation in sport and active recreation
$1000 for new uniforms and equipment.
The program is part of the Labor Government’s commitment to making sport more accessible and inclusive, increasing local participation, stimulating local economies and building sustainable sport and recreation and volunteer opportunities.
