It's time... our new Intermediate Training course is available for sign-up! This new ShopBot training is a hands-on group training for those that are already well-versed in CNC basics and would like to take their knowledge to the next level. 

Here are the dates for the first three sessions of Intermediate Training scheduled for 2020:

Time to Sign-Up for 2020's Digital Fabrication for Educators Sessions

This 2.5-day workshop begins with design and machining using ShopBot tools, then moves into cross-platform training involving other digital fabrication tools (i.e. laser cutters and 3D printers). There is also time specifically allotted for independent work and collaborative development.

Digital Fabrication for Educators is currently scheduled for two sessions this summer: June 18-20, which will focus on VCarve Pro and August 13-15, which will focus on Fusion 360. Mendocino College Theatre Program Adds ShopBot CNC to Their Studio

At the end of 2019, ShopBot's Sallye Coyle was in California helping with installation and training with ShopBot tools. One of the places she visited, Mendocino College, had purchased a ShopBot PRSalpha 5'x8' with vacuum hold-down for use in the Set Design Studio for their theatre program.

In her most recent blog post, she briefly explains the installation of the tool. But more importantly, she tells us about something that she likes to do at every on-site training—a demonstration of the three major categories of toolpath options: Machining to one depth, v-carving or engraving, and 3D carving.
