Show Up and Write Thursdays (SUWT) Thursday mornings. Next session February 6, 2020 in Tupper 2L3 @ 8am-12pm.  Dal Global Health offers a "show up and write Thursdays" (SUWT) space to write with peers, discuss the challenges and successes of writing about your research, and learn new writing tips. Join the movement with #DALGHOSUWT on social media.
Global Health Education Experiences Are you a Dalhousie student in the faculty of Medicine, Health or Dentistry?  Explore our opportunities for you to develop your skills both in Canada and overseas. Global health programs expose you to the core issues and ethical considerations of global health work, provide experience with the realities of delivering health care in low-resource settings, and encourage you to contribute your time and effort towards local and international health causes.  Check out the programs specific to your area of study.  Submit an Application today!
Global Health Bursaries We have bursaries to support your global health education. Whether it be attending a conference or participating in an experience at home or abroad. Explore our opportunities today.
Diversity Bursaries These bursaries provide financial support for African Nova Scotian and Indigenous students to attend conferences and pay entrance exam fees.
Global Health Awards 2020 Nominations Due March 2, 2020. The Global Health Awards were established to recognize the outstanding contribution made to the global health community by our Medical faculty and residents as well as students in Medicine, Health and Dentistry.  Nominate someone today!
Global Health Photo Contest 2020 Submissions Due March 2, 2020. Do you have outstanding photos that tell a compelling story about your global health involvement?  Each year the global health office hosts the Global Health Photo Contest to recognize the beautiful images and inspiring stories from the Dalhousie community.  This contest is open to students, residents, faculty and staff at Dalhousie and can include any global health related activity. 
Black Excellence in STEM and Health Research Symposium
March 6 & 7, 2020. Dalhousie University. PLANS, DBDLI and Imhotep’s Legacy Academy have come together to present the first annual Black Excellence in STEM and Health Research Symposium. This event builds on the momentum of two distinct gatherings of black researchers in 2019: The Black Research Symposium (PLANS) and the Black Excellence in STEM Conference (ILA).
Dalhousie Crossroads Interdisciplinary Health Research Conference
March 13 & 14, 2020. Halifax, NS. The Annual Crossroads Interdisciplinary Health Research Conference is hosted by the Graduate Student Society at Dalhousie University’s School of Health and Human Performance. Now in its 18th year, Crossroads has grown to a nation-wide, peer-reviewed academic conference that receives submissions from diverse, health-related disciplines across the country.

Your Mental Health Matters - Student Lead Lunch & Learn: In November, the Atlantic Association of Black Aspiring Physicians (AABAP) and the Health Association of African Canadians- Student Organization (HAAC-SO) collaborated to present our first lunch and learn “Your Mental Health Matters”.
