ACTION  ALERT
URGENT: All New York Residents!

Yesterday, the New York Senate Domestic Animal Welfare Committee passed S4234 by 7 votes to 0. Next week, the full New York Senate will vote on S4234, which bans the retail sale of dogs, cats, and rabbits. We need your help contacting your state senator THIS WEEK to urge him/her to pass this very important piece of legislation.

As you know, the Companion Animal Protection Society is behind S4234. CAPS investigated all 100 New York pet shops, some of them multiple times, over a five-year period. With 77 pet shops still open, New York has more pet shops selling puppies and kittens than any other state (Florida is second).
