May
23rd – Presentation Night

--- HELP REQUIRED --- [Event Facebook Link] <-- Over 25 Auction Items

On Saturday, the 8th of February Lakes will hold their Seniors Carnival (also our Club Championships).

That evening, we’ll be holding an event called ‘Fundraising for Coota.’ It’s open to all club and community members - the more, the merrier.

The night will include:

  • Door entry of $5 per person.
  • Open bar.
  • BYO nibbles, snacks, take away, etc.
  • A silent auction.
  • Live, local music.

The money raised from the door entry and silent auction will be donated directly to Mallacoota SLSC.

We encourage you to please share this information with your family and friends. Both Senior and Junior carnivals and the Fundraising for Coota event should be fun and a great way to come together as a community in such trying times. Lets show Life Saving Victoria's President, Paul James how fabulous our club is.

*** Bid Items and Bid Instructions ***

Cheers,

Jamo and Jess.

WATER SAFETY FOR SENIOR CARNIVAL
We need an IRBD and IRBC to lay cans and water safety for the carnival. Please let myself or Jess know if you can help.

Also if you are not planning on competing, please come down and help out with water safety!

Thanks team,
Jamo

SENIORS CARNIVAL - Program (ignore the 0830 start)

If you haven’t already, please sign up to compete at our Seniors Carnival (also our Club Champs) on Saturday the 8th of February. I’ll leave the link below.

Details include:
• Set up will begin at 0745. If you’re looking to help, please come along.
• Water safety briefing - 0830.
• Competitor briefing - 0845.
• Events begin - 0900. I’ll post our program later this evening.
• Aiming for a 1200 finish. The carnival will be followed by presentations and a sausage sizzle.

Also keep that evening free, so you can come along and be apart of our Fundraising for Coota event. The silent auction is looking a treat - an updated auction list and bidding instructions will be shared tomorrow. Watch this space, it’s looking the goods.

Life Saving Victoria President, Paul James will be there to support both our Seniors Carnival and Fundraising for Coota event. It would be great to have all hands on deck to make these events successful.

G’day patrolling members,

Just a reminder to please clean up after yourselves in the bathrooms. You have all been on bronze camp so you know what the expectations are. It shouldn’t be up to your patrol captain to make you do it.

- if you are wet and are using the toilet cubicles to get changed please mop the floor afterwards so that the cubicles don’t flood.
- pre rinse yourself outside so that we don’t bring sand into the showers which plugs up the drains. If you do bring sand in then sweep it up.
- all rubbish should go in the bin. This is a no brainer but unfortunately needs to be said.

These facilities are there for you to enjoy a hot shower and to go about our business in a clean environment 😅 Please respect this. We don’t need to wait for Woody, Jammo or Richo to tell us first. Let’s lift the standard so that everyone can enjoy our club.

Thanks to those who helped clean it up on patrol last week 👍🏼

P.S. keen for the surf carnival and fundraiser this weekend 😬🌊

PINK ZINC PATROL
International Women's Day - Sunday the 8th of March is a global day celebrating the cultural, economic, political and social achievements of women.

To recognise the occasion, we’re holding our second Pink Zinc Patrol. The day will include:
• Pancake breakfast @ 0900.
• Distribution of pink tees, zinc.
• Keynote speakers: Brodie Scott and Emma Atkins.
• Patrol.
• Plate of pink food to share, $2 each for hot chips (lunch).
• IRB and scenarios.

All are welcome, female, male, associate or active members - it doesn’t matter. It’s an event to allow us to celebrate the women within Surf Life Saving and the men that guide and support us.

If you’re interested in purchasing a tee at $15.00 each - designed by the fabulous Ayla Etheridge, follow the link below. Please note, the white box surrounding our logo and Ayla’s design will not be present on the tee. Get in quickly so we can place our order.
