Small Miracles

Friend,
   A year ago, I taught a homiletics course at the Tierra Blanca Bible School in the Chiapas jungle. I told the students I would give them each a copy of the course textbook in Spanish the following year but upon returning to the US, I learned the author died, and the Spanish text is no longer in print.
   I only mentioned my dilemma to the Lord. Nobody else knew I was looking for the books, not even my wife. However, one month before my return trip to the Bible school a box mysteriously showed up at the WIM office containing the specific book I was searching for (in Spanish) with the exact number of copies I needed. Praise the Lord for small miracles!

The annual WIM prayer conference was held this month in Comitan, Mexico (where we lived for many years). Three missionary candidates went with me this year to participate in a powerful time of prayer and fellowship with dearly loved co-laborers in the Lord’s harvest.

We traveled to Arriaga, Chiapas after the prayer conference to visit precious friends on the coast and Bill Woods who was my mentor during my early years of missionary work. I also had the opportunity to preach the Sunday morning service in their new building!

We spent our final week, along with the Bible School students, participating in a Simply the Story workshop led by WIM missionary Andrew Conrad. At the end of our trip, I finally gave each of the students their own copy of the homiletics textbook the Lord had so graciously provided.
