Tomorrow: Homebrew Night

On Wednesday, February 5th, we’ll enjoy our 33rd homebrew night at Best Place. Homebrew meetings consist of tasting beers, meads, and ciders brewed by Milwaukee Beer Society members. This always includes a wide variety of styles—sometimes traditional, sometimes a bit more on the experimental side.

Homebrewers: We usually have 30+ people for these tastings, so please try to bring at minimum a 4-pk or the equivalent so everyone can get a taste.

Non-homebrewers: Your feedback is invaluable. Please come out and have some beers with us!

Recap: 6th Anniversary

Thanks to everyone that joined us to help celebrate our 6th anniversary. Over our 6 years, we’ve sampled more than 2,600 unique beers, hosted almost 300 events, and welcomed more than 900 members to our beer community. We look forward to continuing to share and learn more about beer with everyone, while making friends along the way!

And on a night when we sampled the best of the best from the last year of meetings, the winning vote went to Revolution’s Cafe Deth...just beating out Central Waters XXI.

Barrel Aged Beers

February 12th marks the return of Milwaukee Beer Society’s highly anticipated barrel-aged beer night. This will be an amazing assortment of beers that have all spent time in some kind of barrel. No sour beers on this night (we have other nights for those), but you can be sure to find some barrel-aged stouts, barleywines, and other styles that have spent some time in wood.
