Please take a moment to take our 2019 -2020 Family Engagement Survey!
Hartland Elementary School is a school that is always looking for ways to improve our practices. Your feedback is crucial in supporting the growth of the faculty, staff, students, programs and systems at HES. Please complete the following survey regarding family engagement at HES. A paper version of this survey will also be available to complete during the upcoming Community Dinner on February 13th or can be requested in the main office. We ask that if you have completed this survey on paper, you do not complete the online version and vise versa. Thank you!
Please make sure that your child's lunch account has a positive status. We understand that life situations change. You may apply for free and reduced lunch at anytime during the school year and here is the link for that application. Once you complete the confidential application it may be turned into the school office.

This Saturday (Feb. 8th) morning, come enjoy a homemade breakfast and hear about Aging in Hartland's Community Nurse Service. The Community Nurse is skilled at assessing the home situation for you or for an elder living alone. The Nurse will recommend appropriate support and care giving services to enable you to age in place, at home or at a residence of your choice. This a a free service to Hartlanders 60 years or older.
At 9 AM, doors downstairs at Damon Hall open for a breakfast of scrambled eggs, buttermilk pancakes & the trimmings. At 9:30, we'll hear all about Aging in Hartland's Community Nurse Service. At around 10:15 we'll open it up for your questions and community discussion, so bring your appetite for questions and discussion as well as for the delicious homemade breakfast.
The breakfast is free and open to the public. Donations are welcomed, although donations of food and time should be arranged ahead of time - please email or call me for details.

Dear Parents/Guardians of HES Middle School students,
The Fuel Up To Play 60 team is launching a new program after February break called “Swap It”. This program is encouraging healthy snack and drink choices. The students will have the option to swap out unhealthy snacks and drinks from home for healthy options provided by this program. Through a grant received from RISE VT, the Fuel Up To Play 60 team will be purchasing healthy snack and drink choices for the students to swap out. To be clear, students are not required to swap their snacks, this is a choice.
Please let us know if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
The Fuel Up To Play 60 Team
(Mrs. C-H and Mrs. Meacham)
