Redneck Dream is the second official release from Philipe Schizas’s up and coming EP Me N My Guitar.
Co-written with Australia-based Corey Jay, Philipe’s newest single is all about a rootsy country girl. Inspired by Philipe’s travels through the south of the USA, Redneck Dream is country-rock to the core, a swaggering tale of denim and desire. The gravel in his vocal delivery a testament to earthy connection Philipe Schizas has to that region’s ability to inspire song.
Just 3 years ago, he bought his first guitar and started teaching himself to play. Committed to his calling, Phil began travelling to Nashville TN to write and perform and now regularly splits his time performing in both Melbourne and Nashville.
Philipe Schizas has collaborated extensively, road-testing his songs, his performance at Leongatha Country Music Festival in 2018 hinting that his debut single Me N My Guitar was a crowd pleaser. That single went on to find national support on Australia’s Community Radio Network including: Inner FM (Melbourne), VOX FM (Wollongong), Cairns FM (QLD). The single was also featured on international stations Radio Neckar (Germany) and Belter Radio (UK).
Now with an abundance of songs to his name, Philipe continues to write and record new music with plans to release his first EP in 2020. The self-titled debut and now Redneck Dream signalling a short body of work unashamed of telling stories of simple pleasures and lessons learned the hard way.
Redneck Dream rocks determinedly with the appetite to succeed in impressing the world and the women of country folklore.
