Ceremonial Check Presentation

While we wait to get the professional pictures from Mayo Clinic, we wanted to share a picture from the ceremonial check presentation on June 30 for $150,000 to Mayo Clinic SCAD Research Program. This year's check was presented by two SCAD Angel families, who lost their loved ones to SCAD.

SCAD Heart Attack Awareness Week

The third annual SCAD Heart Attack Awareness Week^©is February 17-23, 2020, the third full week in February starting on Presidents’ Day. This is a great week to raise awareness about spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD).

Upcoming 5K SCADaddles!

Registration is now open for the following SCADaddles! Click the links for additional information and to register for:

Michigan SCADaddle: Our 1st fun run/walk on May 16 at beautiful Lake St. Clair Metropark in Harrison Charter Township, Michigan, 20 miles from Detroit.
National/Chicago area SCADaddle: Our 9th chip-timed run/walk on June 13 at Danada Forest Preserve in Wheaton, IL. Drs. Sharonne Hayes, Timothy Olson (genetics) & Marysia Tweet will present Mayo Clinic's latest research findings Friday evening.

Additional 5K SCADaddles are being planned so far in the Charlotte, North Carolina area, Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN, San Diego, CA and Lehigh Valley, PA.

In addition to the 5K, SCADaddles have an event especially for SCAD survivors, their supporters and families who lost someone to SCAD (SCAD Angels). A block of rooms is set aside at a local hotel for those needing overnight accommodations.
