The Town of East Fremantle is facilitating the installation of a permanent public artwork within the Silas Street & St Peter’s Road roundabout.

Welcome to our New Australians
Welcome to all our new Australian Citizens and thank you to the Lion's Club of East Fremantle for hosting their inaugural Australia Day Breakfast on Sunday 26 January 2020 in Locke Park. A great time was had by all as the Mayor officiated to welcome thirteen new Australians (10 adults and 3 children).

Recreation Precinct
Precinct Users Forum - 25 February 2020
The draft Preston Point Road North Recreation Precinct Master Plan (PPRNRPMP) will be submitted to Council on Tuesday 18 February 2020 for endorsement to release for public comment. The Town is facilitating a forum to discuss the final draft with precinct users and interested residents, once it has been made publicly available.

Town Gains Waterwise Status!
The Town of East Fremantle has achieved endorsement as a Waterwise Council. This program is a partnership between Water Corporation and the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation.
Congratulations to our Operations Team for all their hard work in making this happen.

Recycle Your Plastic Bottle Tops
The Town is now working with Precious Plastics Perth with the collection of plastic bottle caps and bread tags to be recycled to create a circular economy for items that would otherwise not be recycled. If you’re interested collect up your lids and tags and drop them off to the staff at Reception at the Town Hall, 135 Canning Highway.

Community Assistance Grants - 2020/21 -
Applications Available in March
The Town of East Fremantle’s Community Assistance Grants Program (CAG) continues to provide an opportunity for local sporting clubs and community groups to build capacity within their club and the community. Applications for 2020-2021 funding will open on 31 March 2020 and close at 4pm on Monday 25 May 2020.

"Highway to Hell" Perth Festival finale - Sunday 1 March 2020
Highway to Hell entertainment line up has been revealed! Perth Festival have officially announced new acts, special activities and transport advice for the special event. 10km of Canning Highway will be closed on Sunday March 1 to create the world's longest stage. Local, interstate and international acts will be performing their version of AC/DC classics to celebrate Perth and its connection to Bon Scott, the iconic front man of legendary Aussie rock band AC/DC. Green Waste Pick up - 16 March 2020
Small prunings and glass clippings should be placed in your green bin weekly.
Larger green waste items should be placed on the verge by 6am Monday 16 March for the scheduled pickup. The contractor will only service your verge for Green Waste once. Fremantle Recycling Centre - Free to Residents
Via a shared service arrangement, the Fremantle Recycling Centre provides a free service to all East Fremantle residents for dropping off bulk goods through the year at no charge (some exclusions do apply).
