February 2020 E-Newsletter

Welcome to the February 2020 edition of our E-Newsletter. This month the Town will hold the Annual Meeting of Electors on Tuesday 25 February and it would be great to see as many people attend as possible.  Details are below.  Congratulations to our newest citizens who were sworn in on Australia Day at a ceremony in Locke Park and took part in the Lions Club Aussie breakfast. I take this opportunity to thank the East Fremantle Lions Club for providing such a great breakfast.

Our Public Art Panel has been busy, with the Silas Street Roundabout public art project concepts for the design being developed for consideration. The Town is also progressing the Preston Point Road North Recreation Precinct Master Plan and will host a precinct user’s forum later this month. The Town's Community Assistance Grant applications open at the end of March and the 'Highway to Hell' Perth Festival Finale is on 1 March 2020. ‘Highway to Hell’ will be a fantastic event for Perth and WA and I urge all residents to embrace the opportunity to be part of it.  Information is outlined in the items below.

 Mayor Jim O'Neill.
