Important Information for the Rest of the Season
Happy new year to all our AGCC clubs and players. We hope you had a nice break and are ready to go for this week’s games.

13 & Unders start again tomorrow night and the 16&Unders on Sunday morning. Play well.

We have lots to tell you in this newsletter – it is a long one. Please read it through to the end!
MyCricket
It has come to our attention that some clubs are not entering their player scores and specific results in MyCricket.

PLEASE make sure you enter all the details as the competition gives out awards at the end of the season to the best players in each grade. We cannot do this if we do not have the data!  I am sure you wouldn't want your players missing out on recognition.

It is also important when assessing whether players have qualified for finals.

MyCricket stats are also evaluated when Cricket Victoria are trialling players for representative teams such as the Youth Premier League and VMCU representative competitions.

And I dont know about you, but my players are pretty keen to look at their individual results for their own information.

We might have to follow you up individually if this continues. Thanks for your help.

The rules also apply to the Libby Nicholls and Annabel Sutherland Cups.

Reconciliation Round 2020

Cricket Victoria has advised the inaugural Reconciliation Round for Community clubs for the 2019/20 season will take place on 1 February 2020 which equates to Sunday 2 February and Wednesday 5 February for the AGCC. Cricket Australia encourages clubs around Australia to celebrate and acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders peoples and cultures on that weekend.

As a unified movement across Australian cricket one consistent act encouraged for all clubs across the country on that day is for both teams and umpires to form a pre-match Barefoot Circle to demonstrate your commitment to Reconciliation between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous Australians. Each individual is to place their hands on the backs of those next to them as a sign of support and a commitment to walk together toward Reconciliation.

More information is in the attached information sheet and on the Cricket Victoria website:

We will be in touch about any opportunities that might arise for our amazing AGCC players to get up and personal with these cricket superstars.

Please do your best to get as many people as possible to the March 8th game at the MCG as we endeavour to break records.
