Frans Nollet Stands Down as Director of Amsterdam Movement Sciences
Dear fellow researchers,
I take this opportunity to inform you that from April 1, 2020, I will for personal reasons resign as director of Amsterdam Movement Sciences. I was appointed per 2015 as director of MOVE with the ambition to strengthen the clinical profile of the institute and to lead the integration with AMC, which resulted in the new institute Amsterdam Movement Sciences that was established in 2017. Together with Mario Maas as co-director, an enthusiastic management team, and great support of the AMS-office, a lot has been achieved over the past years. The research programs were renewed last year in alignment with clinical and societal foci, and a new, vivid management team has been installed. Many valuable activities have been initiated by PhD candidates and early career researchers. The institute is alive and on the move, which gives me great confidence in the further development of Amsterdam Movement Sciences and its researchers. I wish you all both on the scientific and personal level a very successful future. I will remain as active member of the institute, so I hope to see you around! Warm regards, Frans
