Hello and Happy Friday all you wonderful Eagle Parents!
Next week is National School Choice Week. If you are wondering what that is, it's a Nationally celebrated week that began back in 2011 to; "promote the concept of all forms of school choice: district schools, district magnet schools, charter schools, private schools, and homeschooling." Basically just recognizing the blessing we have in getting to CHOOSE our child's education, and having a say in where they go to school, what type of school it is, and how they learn. Definitely a privilege that we appreciate as parents ourselves here at 91st Psalm!
So to celebrate, next week we will be having little activities each day throughout the week and of course even a couple of fun dress up days. (Cause what kid doesn't love a dress up day?!) Alongside the activities we will be capturing pictures and videos to share to our social media sites for you all to see, and share with others, about how much we love "the Psalm".
Posted here is a summary of the week's activities as well as a flyer that was sent home today with your child so that way you can be sure to have your kiddo ready to celebrate each day with us and also know what to expect to see on our Facebook and Instagram pages!
We thank you tremendously for having chosen 91st Psalm as the school of YOUR CHOICE!

We have raised some of our prices while hoping to maintain Lunch Box as a good option for you and your children. Thank you so much.

There's another way to support our athletic program without touching your wallet. Please consider helping us sell concessions. Currently, the students who assist with concessions are involved in other extracurricular activities: basketball, pep band and cheerleading. We would be very blessed if a couple parents could assist. Please see the sign up link below. Thank you.
We have obtained 40 free passes to a movie you won't want to miss. This movie speaks to those who have school aged children, and have wrestled with the difficult choice of keeping their child in an under performing public school system that is often in conflict with their family's values. It also speaks to those families concerned about making the financial sacrifice it may take for their child to have the opportunity to attend a private school that supports their family's values.
"Miss Virginia" is about an impoverished single mother who is losing her 15-year-old son to the rough streets of Washington, D.C. Unwilling to see him drop out and deal drugs, she places him in a private school. But when she can't afford the tuition, she soon launches a movement to change the system that is destroying him and thousands of others.
The movie event will take place on Monday, February 3, 2020 at 6 p.m. at the Harkins Theater located in The Tempe Market Place.
Tickets will be handed out on a 1st come 1st serve basis. If you would like tickets you must register by using the button below. Please don't sign up for tickets unless you're sure you can attend.
