Life in the Digital Age

Are you raising a child in today’s tech-driven world?  Do you struggle with setting boundaries around screen time for yourself and your children?  Can you benefit from additional knowledge of social media and how to keep your children safe?  If you answered “yes”, these sessions are for you!

Life in the Digital Age is a three-part lecture series for parents to understand why our children act the way they do, how companies exploit both us and our children, and how as parents, we can provide safety in the digital age. This series will be led by Andy Stacey, M.Ed, a lead technology coach and instructor at Bellevue High School.

Sessions will be at Seattle Children's Hospital, Main Campus in the Wright Auditorium and streamed on Facebook Live.

Andy Stacey received his M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialty in Technology Leadership from Bowling Green State University. Andy regards himself as an early millennial who has grown and adapted in a world full of change. He has seen the introduction of broadband internet and the device world we live in, however, still recollects using the rotary phone to call friends, and vividly recalls using the encyclopedia for schoolwork. Andy’s background as both a teacher and technology leader helps him provide a space for strategies, ideas and feedback for parents, students and teachers in the Bellevue School District.

A limited number of childcare spaces are available in the Sibling Playroom (Ocean 7) for children ages 3+ who are potty-trained. RSVP for childcare is required.

ASL interpreters will be provided. Other accommodations are available upon request.
