On Saturday we had our "My Kid's Out, Now What" seminar. Three panelists and 5 participants shared stories, expressed solidarity with struggles, and heard how to approach affirmation from a biblical perspective. Thanks to the entire congregation for being willing to have the event at the church, and also a special thanks to Lisa Ruzga and Ellen Klaiber for volunteering snacks and beverages.
We will continue to have various seminars in the future with Domestic Violence and Infant Care already in the works. We don't have a date for either, but be on the look out for them soon.

Several people have voiced disappointment at not sharing the Lenten Soup Dinners with Valley Presbyterian last year. So, we are doing them this year.
There will be two dinners,
March 11th at Bainbridge UCC
and
March 25th at Valley Presbyterian
Both will be at 6pm and the different host churches will supply the food.
A sign up sheet for our meal on the 11th will be on the bulletin board by the door. We will need help setting up, food donations, and clean-up.
Thanks to all who help in advance!

Visitation Workshop
Have you felt God's call to visit with home bound and sick folk, but don't feel fully prepared? We will be hosting a Visitation Training Workshop on February 22nd from 10am - noon. The instructor for the workshop will be Rev. Tyler Delaney. Tyler is an ordained Disciples of Christ Minister and has worked as a chaplain in the Cleveland Clinic system since his ordination in 2008. He will help folks feel empowered to carry out this vital mission of care and compassion. Please let Pastor Brian know if you plan on attending. Attendance is NOT a commitment, so if you are curious but unsure please attend to hear what visitation is all about to aid in your discernment.
