Join on #OnNicollet this Thursday 4-6p

Curling & Purling kicks-off tomorrow at 4p #OnNicollet between 6th and 7th streets with January 30 hosts the Richfield Curling Club. Learn from their experts how to play this Olympic favorite and play a  pick-up match with friends.

Fiber artist
Knitteapolis will be there adding knit and crocheted flare to the proceedings (including the iconic Mary Tyler Moore statue). If you want to support the installation from the privacy of your home or office, you can download free patterns. Then just bring your works down during Curling & Purling on Thursdays, January 30, February 6, 13, or 20, between 4 and 6p to add them to public yarnbombing installation.

Or if you prefer to play with fire, the folks from
Pedal to the Metal will be there to help you design and carve your own creation in cuttlebone, then they'll pour it in piping hot liquid bronze, so you'll have a one-of-a-kind memento of the evening.

We’ll have hot cider and street games for all ages. The newly renovated DID Nicollet Office will be available for warm-ups.

Whether you come to cast a stone, a stitch or a miniature bronze sculpture, you’ll be kicking your winter blues into April by celebrating what makes winter great in Minneapolis!

Bring your enthusiasm (experience is not required).
