Announcing 2020 LRSEF Awards & Prizes

LRSEF will be held Saturday, March 7 at UofL's Swain Student Activities Center.

Students are eligible to win cash prizes in 21 categories.

Junior: $35, $50 and $65
Senior: $50, $65 and $85
Teams of up to 3 students can compete.

Schools can also win trophies and cash for their STEM programs. Each school earns points for the number of students they bring and the number of category awards their students win.

Students and school prizes are funded by grants from the community and corporations. Read below about a  few that have donated during the month of January.

Asian Pacific American Forum (APAF)

On January 28, 2020, the APAF of GE Appliances, a Haier Company, held a Lunar New Year Celebration, with proceeds supporting LRSEF. Over 150 people attended the event thanks to the hard work by LRSEF board members Jayaram Ravishanker, Senthil Nathan and Derrick Little, pictured here with LRSEF President Cori Greenberg  and Treasurer Theresa Mattei along with GE Appliances CEO Kevin Nolan and executive John Ouseph.

Kiwanis Club

LRSEF is proud to have the support of the Kiwanis Club, a co-founder of our fair dating back to 1964. Kiwanis President Shellie Garman delivered a generous donation to LRSEF President Cori Greenberg and Treasurer Theresa Mattei, also pictured with Mark Garman, Kiwanis member and LRSEF board member.

Lannett Corporation

Lannett Corporation funds LRSEF prizes too! Their check, shown here, was given by board member Isreal Hodges, Jr. to LRSEF President Cori Greenberg.
