Omaha Leads the Way

What a busy start to 2020 it has been! A number of properties have sold in the month of January, including 271 Mangatawhiri, 17 Taumata, 5 Tohora & 32 Taumata (off-market) - a sign that the market is still very busy and robust.
 
A recent report from property site One Roof stating that Omaha is the biggest winner of the rising Auckland market.
 
In this article from the NZ Herald, OneRoof editor Owen Vaughan saying that Omaha was Auckland's standout suburb, with growth there driven by buyer demand outstripping supply.
 
Stating: "Omaha is the place where cashed-up Aucklanders want to buy - it's a holiday home suburb that's an easy commute from the city and property there is tightly held. When it does come on to the market, it commands a premium.”
 
Omaha property will always be in high demand. Omaha is bounded by water, with the ocean in the front, and the estuary behind, so there is virtually no room for it to expand. I stumbled across some fantastic aerial photographs recently of Omaha on the Land Information New Zealand Facebook page. Below you'll see Omaha in 1963 to the left, and to the right more recently in 2017. Omaha is full!





Still available I have a 550sqm section at 11 Ida Way. With most beachfront properties sitting around the $6m bracket, this section is tremendous buying. If you build a home at the cost of around $2m-$2.5m you won’t be over capitalising. One of a very few sections available in Omaha, and well worth looking at if you want to stake a claim in the Omaha market.
