Purpose
The 3rd annual Social Justice Student Research Conference will feature student research, activism, and creativity, that bridges scholarship and social change.
How to Apply
By March 15th, submit your personal information, short bio, headshot photo, and abstract that is no longer than 200 words to: HTTPS://TINYURL.COM/W729KNH
The abstract is a short summary of the content of the presentation, project, creative work. Other than creative works, the abstract should provide an introduction, review of the methodology, main findings and the significance of the research. For creative works, your abstract should describe your creative project, state why you chose to create this particular work and how it is in conversation with the field within which you are working. Include information about your process and the outcome.
Must be a CSUN undergrad or graduate student. Open to all disciplines as long as papers, presentations, creative work, etc. furthers the purpose of the conference.
Selection & Presentation
All submissions will go through a reveiw process, overseen by a committee of students and faculty that are part of Civil Discourse & Social Change. Students will be notified March 20th whether their abstract has been accepted.
Accepted presenters will be placed into panels of three students, with 15 minutes allotted to each presenter and fifteen minutes for questions and answers (total 60 minutes). The panels will be facilitated by campus faculty.
