Sector Information 

CHANCES – Service Delivery Partner Opportunity

Deadline:  17th February
Norfolk County Council are inviting Expressions of Interest from voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations to carry out the service delivery of CHANCES in the areas of Broadland and South Norfolk.  CHANCES is an integrated health and employment service which will deliver personalised support to 2602 unemployed and inactive people across Norfolk.  It will support participants with deep-seated barriers to work, including long term health conditions and a lack of employability skills.  VCSE partners will employ Advocates to work with project participants to create bespoke pathways to participation and employment.

Norfolk and Waveney Five-Year Plan and VCSE Assembly

A report has been published of the findings following engagement events held in October to bring the VCSE (voluntary, community and social enterprise) sector together to get their input on Norfolk and Waveney’s five-year strategic plan for health and care services.

Norfolk Economic Intelligence Report

The Quarter 3 Norfolk Economic Intelligence Report has been published.  The Norfolk Economic Intelligence Report is produced by the Growth and Development team at Norfolk County Council and reflects economic activity in Norfolk during this last quarter. Meeting Reporting Requirements

The Fundraising Regulator has found that only 40% of charities’ annual reports met reporting requirements in the Charities (Protection and Social Investment) Act 2016.  In response to this they have published guidance to help charities to comply with reporting requirements.  To read their report and guidance please click the button below.

Charity Commission Issues Fraud Warning

The Charity Commission has received reports from several charities who have been contacted by people fraudulently claiming to members of staff in order to change their banking details. The Charity Commission has advised charities to be vigilant about signs of fraud, and check that email addresses are not spoof accounts that appear like the person’s they are impersonating.  In cases where charities have been affected by fraud, they are being urge to report the incidents. Acas Employment Guidance

Acas have provided guidance about employment procedures, including ensuring you are complying with Discrimination Law.  For more information please click the button below. 


Safeguarding Guidance and Support

The government has launched a safeguarding portal, sharing information about how to handle safeguarding allegations in a charity.  The portal links to guidance from NSPCC, NCVO, Bond, the Charity Commission and others. It also includes a tool to help people work out where to go for more support or who to report an incident to.  For more information please click the button below.


Norfolk Easy Ambles Toolkit

A toolkit is available to help community groups to map walks in their area for people living with dementia and their carers.  The toolkit includes practical considerations and reminiscence prompts.  For more information please click the button below.


Priority Service for Anglian Water

If you, or someone you care for needs some help to manage their water bills and account, you can register for Anglian Water’s Priority Service, which includes the ability to appoint someone to act as your point of contact.  Use the button below for more information or to register.

Norwich City Council’s Environmental Strategy

Deadline: Fri 7th February.

New Buckenham Neighbourhood Plan

Deadline: Fri 14th February
New Buckenham Parish Council has published the pre-submission version of its Neighbourhood Plan for comment before it is submitted to Breckland Council for scrutiny.  Issues addressed in the Plan include housing and development, recreation and culture, business, traffic, countryside and wildlife, and the village's layout of medieval buildings.  The deadline for comments is Fri 14th February.  For more information please click the button below.  


Norfolk County Council Local Transport Plan 2020-2036

Norfolk County Council have opened consultation on their Local Transport Plan to ensure that it considers local people's current and future priorities for transport to help shape the future transport provision in Norfolk.  The deadline for comment is Fri 28th February.  For more information please click the button below.

Health and Wellbeing Board Awards

Deadline: 9am Fri 28th February
Entries are invited from organisations, teams and individuals who have gone above and beyond for the people of Norfolk and Waveney.  The theme this year is “prioritising prevention”, and awards will be given in two categories:

  • Chairman’s Award – Recognising a service delivered, innovation or improvement by an organisation/department/team.

  • Health and Wellbeing Hero Award - Recognising the exceptional contribution of an individual working within the community.
