Updates from Home - Caesarea Golf Club

We would like to inform you that Adva Oren, who has contributed greatly to the Club's development over the years, will move into a new position. She will be responsible for all events and customer relations in the area of Caesarea tourism. Adva will continue to be in a working interface with the Club with regard to our events, and, of course, will support as much as necessary the acclimatization of her replacement in the role of customer management and member relations.

We are pleased to announce that Nicole Kirichko, who has proven to be a great asset to the Club for over three years, will be promoted and replace Adva in the position.  Nicole has tasks and challenges that will undoubtedly enhance your service experience.

Company and Club management are confident in the success of these two staff members.  We wish each one success in her new role.

Golf Classroom and SWING CATALYST
We are expecting to complete our new classroom which will introduce the world's most advanced golf learning technologies. Combined with the help of our staff of instructors, this undoubtedly will improve your playing experience.
The computerized system is built on SWING CATALYST's infrastructure software and features a built-in combination of:
  • Elaborate cameras that capture the swing in real time in front of (FO) and behind (DTL) the player
  • A system for monitoring and displaying weight distribution during the swing displayed on the computer screen (right, left, backward and forward)
  • Radar displaying all hitting data including club speed, various strike angles and many other data to help the instructor analyze the swing

We will soon announce the opening date of the Learning Center and lesson packages available to members.
Lockers
There are still a number of lockers available near the parking lot. Please contact Eric for details.

Golf Course
Following the significant improvements we had in both new equipment and our agro-technique methods, you can see that as compare to recent years the greens are much greener in color and the fairways are soft and easy to hit from.
We also cut the greens lower and the result is a quick and nice roll of the golf ball.

During the winter, the maintenance team's priorities are to clean and arrange the grounds, take care of bunkers and maintain general aesthetics.

During rainy days, we try to avoid damage to the grass by traveling as much as possible on the cart paths, entering onto the grass with vehicles only in places where it is essential.

Repairing PITCH MARKS on the Greens
The Club has invested considerable knowledge and resources to ensure that you benefit from excellent greens all year long. Unfortunately, despite extensive efforts by our staff, including distributing pitch mark repair tools, we are again encountering many careless members who do not bother to perform a simple pitch mark repair procedure. This procedure takes only 10 seconds and prevents the creation of a scar that does not heal for a long time!

The Club's marshals have been instructed to work tirelessly to eradicate the phenomenon. At this point we are only warning players. If there is no significant improvement, we will unfortunately have to implement a more aggressive enforcement mechanism, including surprise inspections on the course and a week's suspension from the Club without discussion of players who do not repair their pitch marks. If a member repeats the offense the length of suspension will be doubled each time.

For your convenience, we are again providing two videos showing how easily and quickly pitch marks can be repaired correctly!

Friday Golf
In the last quarter of this year, we continued to recruit new potential golfers who came to us from various parts of the country after successful marketing of the program. We are proud to inform you that the success rate of this program continues to grow, and we are enrolling many new students into our training courses. The Club is investing heavily in this activity for the future of golf in Israel in the years to come. We consider it an important pillar of our success as the country's golf leader.
Golfer of the Month

This time the title of "Golfer of the Month" goes to Basil Kaufman, undoubtedly one of the top players in the country over the past few decades. Basil won a prestigious trophy and valuable prize.

Just to remind you, prizes are awarded each week to first place winners in the competition. We encourage you all to participate.

Hole-in-One
You may recall the amazing video of golf addicts prepared by Club members after the new course opened. (For those who do not - search YouTube for "golf addicts.") One of them received his payoff on Sunday, January 19, ten years after participating in the video (after which his addiction only increased). Today, "A" came to play on a stormy and rainy day – and made the first hole-in-one in his life!
WELL DONE "A!"

Golf League 2020
The Golf League for 2020 launched with two divisions of 12 teams each and over 100 players. In order to make coordination easier, we have closed two tee times each day that will be saved for league play. These times should be used if necessary, but try as much as possible to schedule tee times through the normal process so as to keep these saved tee times available for those who have not been able to reserve times for their game. In addition, the ProShop can help to arrange tee times for league games.

All team captains were given a master list with the schedule of games and phone numbers of heads of each team to facilitate coordination.

League rules, team makeup, game cycles and, of course, league results are displayed on the bulletin board near Penny and on the Club website: https://caesarea.com/en/home/tourism/golf-club/events/golf-league

Past Events
The traditional Chanukah tournament, with participation by family members, was held at the Club in a lovely atmosphere of togetherness. At the end, everyone was spoiled by the delicacies prepare by the Café, and, of course, trophies and prizes were awarded to winners in the various categories.

Gold Division:
First place – Noga and Ezer Yacoby
Second place – Yoni and Limor Sidi
Third place – Ron and Eitan Solomon

Silver Division:
First place – Shaya and Tal Dayan
Second place – Or and Shalom Alon
Third place – Yoram Zilberstein and David Barker

The amazing story of the competition was the tremendous result of the 17 year old Shaya and 10 year old Tal Dayan (both students of the Golf Academy), with a gross score of 73 on a day of strong winds that made play extremely difficult.

Wishing you enjoyable golf,
