The Bible and Nutrition
The bible is an old book. It's words were written by human authors that were inspired by God. It is a book meant to encourage us, teach us, and challenge us in our every day lives.
The bible doesn't talk about nutrition very much. When it was written, most people didn't have access to huge amounts of extremely processed, high calorie foods. I often get the question: "how does the Bible relate to my nutrition?"
My answer: "In so many ways!" God calls us to do everything in the name of Jesus. This includes the ideas of feeding and nourishing our bodies well. It can be tempting to separate our life of faith from how we feed our body. The truth is that everything we do in these earthly bodies is related to our faith.
So, my questions for you today:
Consider how you feed your body, is it pleasing to God?
Are you continually giving thanks for it?
