In the first KTN event of 2020, Dr Kamran Mahroof will discuss findings from research in which he explored the potential of Industry 4.0 within a large distribution warehouse of a major UK based retailer. Kamran’s talk will cover how shortage of management skills and mind-sets presents a significant barrier to maximising the opportunities presented through Industry 4.0 and Smart Warehousing. The research also offers implications for Human Resource Management, highlighting how operational management with previous exposure and familiarity of Industry 4.0 is critical for its adoption.
