MIT Medical Posts Resource on Coronavirus
MIT Medical, as a follow up to its January 24, 2020 email to the MIT community, has set up a webpage specifically to provide up-to-date guidance on the Coronavirus. At this webpage, you can view the initial email to the community and the updates posted daily on actions taken at MIT, as well as recommendations from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

One of the helpful links provided on the CDC website is “Information For Travelers,” which includes guidance on “Travelers to China” and “Travelers from China Arriving in the US” (which includes guidance on what to expect when arriving at a U.S. airport). You can find this webpage here:
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/index.html

Please be sure to check back regularly to the MIT Medical webpage for updates.

Reminder: Beware of Scams, especially during tax season
There have been reports of multiple phone and email scams recently, and these may increase around income tax filing time this spring. We cannot stress this enough. PLEASE be careful if you receive any communication from someone claiming to be a government official or from law enforcement, either from the U.S. or another country. Note: NEVER give out your name, bank info, or the last 4 digits of your SSN (unless you yourself are making the call).

If someone contacts you by phone, email, or regular mail requesting information, 1) remain calm, 2) do not give out any personal/bank information, and 3) notify the ISO immediately!

Reg Day and first day of classes
This year, Reg Day is Friday, January 31st and the first day of classes is Monday, February 3rd. This is an effect of the change of the date for commencement, which is the end of May rather than in June.
