A note from Tia

Hi FF!

It's been a while! What have I been up to since the holidays? Great question. As you may have noticed, I took a hiatus from Facebook and working in general from Christmas to the New Year, to really refresh for 2020. I hope you did too! This month, I’ve been cultivating my mentorship relationships, re-centering on the “why” of Freelancing Females, and working to continue to strengthen what I am offering this growing and active community of Freelancing Females.

I’m freshening up our newsletter game this year and I’ll be sending you our missives every other week now. As I’ve gotten to know you all more and more, I’ve realized that we have SO many powerful voices and insights to share. So in addition to letters from me and my editor, we want to give YOU a chance to share what is important to you - with all 38,000 of us that receive this email.

Want to participate in our Voices of the FF Community guest editorial program?

Fill out this form with:

-a sentence or two on the topic you want to talk about
-a link to a writing sample
-a link to your work or social media

And we’ll get back to you to confirm if we’ve selected you and your theme. You’ll get to work directly with us to edit and perfect your 350-500 word op-ed.

Also new to the streamlined FF newsletter will be the For Your Eyes Only section. We love having useful and aligned sponsors in our newsletters, and we know that individual community members might have exciting announcements they want to share too. So in each newsletter, we’ll be offering up to three $50 classified-style ads only available to our personal community, where you can shout out your work, events, or other important news, all on a freelance-friendly budget. Grab yours here.

I'm really excited for what's to come in 2020 and I hope you are too! Enjoy your week and we'll see you for our official bi-weekly newsletter starting Tuesday, Feb 11.

xx Tia, FF Founder
