The HEROS programmers have informed HUD staff that the HEROS Environmental Review Record (ERR) posting feature is experiencing an error and reviews are not currently posting to the HUD Exchange. This error appears to have been the result of a coding issue that went into effect following the HEROS 11.19 release on December 23, 2019. The HEROS team and our contractors are working to deploy an emergency release that will go into effect by February 29, 2020.

In the meantime, please do not post reviews for public comment or archiving on the HUD Exchange. You may continue to complete environmental reviews in the system, but the reviews cannot currently be posted for public comment. If you have been referencing the HUD Exchange link in your posting, you may as an alternative either:

• Provide a print-out of the ERR Word document, including supporting documentation at the Responsible Entity office during the public comment period; or
• Provide an electronic copy of the ERR document, including supporting documentation that can be viewed on a computer at the Responsible Entity office.

Please continue to indicate where your ERR document can be viewed in the public notice.

Reviews completed in HEROS prior to February 29, 2020 will temporarily not show as archived on the HUD Exchange ERR page.
