Hi Farm Supporter,

Is your local farmer quitting?

Nope, not us.  We are staying and growing bigger in 2020.

You think we could stop this if we wanted too?
(We gotta keep going for these kids!)

But we found out recently that several local, organic/sustainable farms in the Lehigh Valley are ending their CSAs this year. Traditional CSA programs, where the farmer puts what he grows in your box and sends it to a pick up site, have been struggling for several years. Online markets which offer more convenience and selection have put pressure on small farms to adapt.

Simon Huntley, founder and CEO of Harvie, and a guide and mentor to many small farms, including us, wrote a recent article “Is Local Food Dying?”  He doesn’t think so and neither do we. Willow Haven Farm will change and grow to serve what you want and need.

We want you to know that we remain committed to growing organic food and getting it to you in a way that is easy and convenient to you.

Farmer Reuben is committed to continuing to grow a wide variety of vegetables and farming our land using organic practices.

Delivering to homes in the Lehigh Valley is important to you and so we are expanding our reach all the way to Easton.

You’ll probably see more dairy and fruit available in Extras throughout the season because we are providing additional quality, local food from other partner farms.  Is there something you are looking for? Let us know.

We think this means that our customized and delivered vegetable boxes are more attractive

This year, we have changed our offerings so that you can now order three different size boxes of vegetables. As always, you are able to customize every delivery and change delivery weeks when you are away.
What Share Size Should I Get?  Here's a simple guide.

We want to survive this downward trend and our farm needs to thrive so that you will always be able to eat food you trust from a farmer you know.

Do you know someone who is looking for a new farmer?  Tell them about us.

Do you know someone who tried a CSA and wasn’t happy?  Tell them about customization, scheduling and home delivery.

We are also delivering to workplaces this year as an employee benefit part of their workplace wellness programsIs your company looking to offer something healthy, convenient, beneficial and original to their employees? Imagine 50 boxes of Willow Haven vegetables being delivered to your company.  What are your co-workers going to cook for dinner?

See all the ways we are growing? It’s going to be a great year!

Finally, here is your reminder that we are open this Saturday.
You can come see us on a small scale, your local farmer, relaxed for the winter and willing to chat while you stock your bags with our Brick Oven bread and other farm goodies.

Purchasing your local food and gifts during the off season is a great way to support your local farmer. THANKS!!
We'll keep farming for you!

P.S. We'll be open at least twice, February and March. Check Facebook and keep reading our emails. (You can also make an appointment.) We'd love to see you!
Farmer Reuben ATE THIS PICTURE!
Steve the cheese maker set up this display for a picture on Instagram.  Of course, you know what happened to it after he was done...

These amazing cheeses are on our market shelves.  Come try a sample THIS SATURDAY! Take a few of your favorites home.

Hey, did you see the top left corner?  ORGANIC GRASS FED BUTTER from our own cream.  The milk is heavier in cream this time of year so Steve had to skim it off before he could make a certain batch of cheee.
