Welcome to our first newsletter of 2020!

We hope you’ve come back to the office refreshed after the holidays and the year has started successfully for you and your business.

There’s nothing like starting the new year with a review of your goals – and sometimes that involves upskilling and undertaking some professional development to help you get to where you want to be.

The Equation team has been busy planning our popular training courses and we are pleased to inform you about our Equation Education schedule for the first quarter of 2020. Our training sessions were extremely popular last year and we received loads of positive feedback on our courses. Clients are understanding that there is still so much to learn as technology and legislation changes are constant.

Due to popular demand, we have partnered with Mike Johnson from Essential HR to deliver a new course:

New Course- Caring for your Human Resources

This course is designed to help you understand your HR obligations, getting the best out of your employment agreements and to mitigate risks around restructuring and personal grievances. We are running this 2 hour course in February and March.

Can't log in to WFM or Xero?

We’ve received a few support calls when staff have forgotten their password or lost their initial email invitation. We don’t hold any password information – this is all encrypted with Xero and we can’t resend WFM invites. If you are having trouble logging in, we recommend a password reset. Click here to read a helpful article on how to change/ reset your password.

Xero is not just accounting software, it is about people and helping small business. Xero understands that running a small business can impact on your mental health – yet unlike big business, it is much harder to get help.

The Xero Assistance Programme (XAP) provides free and confidential mental health support to all starter, standard and premium plan subscribers in New Zealand, their employees and families. This is supported by Xero's global provider Benestar. They offer our Xero customers access to face-to-face, telephone, live chat or online counselling.

In March 2020 Hubdoc will be part of the Xero Starter, Standard and Premium plans. Hubdoc allows you to easily capture and manage your bills and receipts. You can upload documents using your desktop, mobile device, email or scanner – giving you access to the documents you need, when you need them. Once documents are uploaded to Hubdoc, the key data is automatically extracted and synced to Xero as accurately coded transactions with the source document attached. From there the transactions are ready for one-click bank reconciliation.

Import invoices from Xero - you might use this feature if you have set up recurring invoices in Xero and you want to use them to offset costs of WIP accumulating in WFM.
In WFM Premium you can define relationships and groups for clients.

The Unleashed B2B Portal is a feature that will improve your customers buying experience and provide your customers fast and easy access to browse products, see stock availability, and create orders. This portal can be customised to add your own colours and branding.

Unleashed is the master system and all product/customer information will flow from Unleashed to B2B Portal.
You can choose which customers are available in the B2B Portal.
You can choose to make products Visible/Sellable in the B2B Portal.
Stock on Hand for products is automatically synced from Unleashed to B2B Portal.
