The Carbon Literacy Project: Climate Change learning for everyone.

Welcome! The latest news from The Carbon Literacy Project...

"Climate change does not respect borders; it does not respect who you are - rich and poor, small and big. Therefore, it is what we call 'global challenges,' which require global solidarity."
~ Ban Ki-Moon, Secretary-General of the United Nations

Wildfires - Things You Can Do

The ongoing devastation in Australia has hit headlines across the globe. Of course, Australia is no stranger to wildfires, having them seasonally every year. However, many would say that the intensity of these fires and ones elsewhere is largely due to factors compounded by a changing climate.

Read more about wildfire links to climate change, and what action you can take now to make a difference.

The Impact of Behaviour Change

We know that the actions of individuals can make a huge impact, whether that be in their personal life, or by implementing policy and working practice through their job role that reduces not only their carbon footprint but potentially that of other employees, a product, a business, or an entire industry! But did you know that the action of individuals is actually a crucial factor in our journey to a zero-carbon society?

12,000 Certified CL Learners

As we head out of the first month of 2020 we’ve already hit a new milestone – 12,000 learners certified as Carbon Literate! This means that over 24,000 actions have been pledged in communities, businesses, local authorities, schools and universities, across the UK and beyond, helping to pave the road (or bike lane) to zero-carbon.

For more info on how you can get involved, click here.

A UNIQUE PROJECT

The Carbon Literacy Project is a unique project, working with everyone who lives, works or studies, to offer a day's worth of training to the Carbon Literacy Standard. Once Carbon Literate, we have an instinctive understanding of the carbon impacts of our activities, are able to make informed choices, and, driven by the urgency, act positively to address climate change.
