For OPT/CPT, sign up for required Employment Session at iMIT
If you plan to work off-campus during the spring or summer using CPT, or if you intend to request OPT for the summer or after graduation, you are required to attend an F-1 employment session. Sign up for a weekly session on iMIT to find out about off-campus work options. Plan 4 to 6 months ahead, especially for OPT. Read our website for more info.

Reminder: Beware of Scams, especially during tax season
There have been reports of multiple phone and email scams recently, and these may increase around income tax filing time this spring. We cannot stress this enough. PLEASE be careful if you receive any communication from someone claiming to be a government official or from law enforcement, either from the U.S. or another country. Note: NEVER give out your name, bank info, or the last 4 digits of your SSN (unless you yourself are making the call).

If someone contacts you by phone, email, or regular mail requesting information, 1) remain calm, 2) do not give out any personal/bank information, and 3) notify the ISO immediately!
