PETITE MESSE SOLENNELLE

Saturday 28th March, 7.30pm

The Ruddock Centre, Kings Edward's School, Edgbaston, Birmingham, B15 2UA

Come and hear Birmingham Festival Choral Society sing this uplifting work, written by Rossini for private performance at one of his renowned Paris musical Salons.

The Petite Messe Solennelle was Rossini’s last major composition and his operatic melodies, colour, and drama shine through to make this one of the most popular works in the choral repertoire.

As a special treat, we have four talented vocal soloists, plus accompanists on piano and accordion:

Caroline Modiba: soprano,
Rachel Gilmore: mezzo soprano
Joseph Kennedy: baritone,
Richard Hansen: tenor

Kevin Gill: piano
Ben de Souza: accordion,

David Wynne: conductor.
