1. Have you ever had conflicts with business partners and if so how did you resolve them? - Tom Rowlandson
Dee: Yes. I have had many. It is immediate communication, it isn't going to be easy or pleasant but you have to have the conversation to clear the air up. Drama: I agree with Anand here. Honesty is very important. You have to be able to talk openly about disagreements early before they turn into bigger problems or resentments Anand: Always be honest. Wouldn’t say conflict but difference of opinion. Posturing will always catch up to the problem. Be honest and respectful and you’ll get to a resolution. Pete: I tell them to fuck off Taylor: Yes there are always conflicts. Get to the source of the problem as quickly as possible. Be as direct and honest and possible. It is better to be direct and honest upfront than have any negative feelings stay later. Get to the root and talk about it, don't be shy in speaking your feelings.
2. Fire one, Start a business with one, Elect one as president -------- Bernie, Trump, Bloomberg.
Dee: Fire Trump, start business with Bloomberg and elect Bernie Drama: I guess I’d start a business with Bloomberg and elect Bernie Anand: Id like to start a business w/ Bloomberg & have him be our president 😬 Pete: Fire Bernie. Elect Bloomberg or Roddy Ricch, start a business with Trump. Taylor: Fire Bernie, that dude just pisses me off for some reason. Elect Bloomberg because his meme game is on point. I guess start a business with the Donald, we can sell online courses together.
3. Where do all of the Group Chat Guys get their information? What other podcasts, news outlets, twitter accounts etc. do they follow or recommend to stay up on market trends and happenings? - Marissa Stahl
Dee: Bloomberg, Wall Street Journal, TechCrunch, Axios, Fortune ReCode, @ProfGalloway and @DanPrimack. I don't listen to anyone else's podcasts, even Drama's, unless I'm on it. Drama: I get mine from the other 2 podcast members. I actually don’t follow the news too closely so I’m usually getting the updates on the stories while I’m asking about it on the pod Anand: Axios newsletters. Ben Thompson newsletter (tech + paywall). Theinformation.com (tech + paywall). Podcasts: pod save the world. Great for foreign policy. Liberal leaning but tons of facts. Pete: Group Chat, meme pages and Tik Tok Taylor: Twitter is great, I follow a lot of the top VC's on there they are all active. LinkedIn has some good stuff too and of course the Group Chat Pod.
