Top Educators to Discuss Their Public Schools' Strategies and Successes on Capitol Hill

Public Schools Week 2020 will celebrate the successes—and show the potential—of public education in the United States. For the first time, the Learning First Alliance will bring together exemplary educators and parents who serve in a Public Schools Week logowide range of roles in public schools to tell their stories and discuss how lawmakers and communities can support their pursuits of excellence.

This panel will be held Feb. 26, 2020, from 2 - 3:30 p.m. ET, and will be live-streamed on LFA's Facebook page. Panel participants include:

Lily Eskelsen García, President of the National Education Association (moderator).
Dr. Curtis Jones, 2019 Superintendent of the Year, and superintendent, Bibb County School District, Ga.
Laura Ross, 2020 School Counselor of the Year, Five Forks Middle School, Lawrenceville, Ga.
Kerensa Wing, 2019 Principal of the Year, Collins Hill High School, Suwanee, Ga.
Leslie Boggs, 2019-21 President of National PTA.
Lesley Bruinton, NSPRA president-elect and Public Relations Coordinator of Tuscaloosa City Schools, Fla.
Dr. Andy Jacks, NAESP Center for Innovative Leadership Fellow and principal, Ashland Elementary School, Manassas, Va.
Ashley Kearney, D.C. Public School Teacher of the Year 2020.
